No. There will be no change in the benefits, terms and conditions of your policy due to this transaction. You don’t need to take any action. To assure continued coverage, all you need to do is continue to pay your premiums and otherwise comply with the terms of your current arrangement. If there is any change in the future, you will be notified about it promptly.
Will this transaction impact MetLife customers?
There are no changes to MetLife’s in-force policies and contracts due to this transaction. All policy and contract terms and conditions remain in full force and effect.

Q: Will this acquisition impact any transaction that I have submitted such as a new policy application, insured sum increase/decrease, claim request, policy loan, etc?

Q: Can I still purchase Alico products?

Yes, Alico products will continue to be available under MetLife’s ownership.

Q: Will I have the same agent? Who do I contact for questions about my existing policy?

There will be no impact on your existing policies. You can contact your agent or customer service with further questions.

Q: Will the way I pay my bill change?

There will be no immediate changes in how you pay your premiums (by whatever method). The terms of your policy will remain the same and will be serviced at the same location. If there is any change in the future, you will be notified about it promptly and with plenty of advance notice. Q: Who will be my contact from now on?

Our standard Group Policy provides comprehensive Medical coverage. However, as with all insurance providers, we have to take in to consideration your individual circumstances. Of course! We make it possible for you to cover all your children who are between the ages of 6 months to 19 years. Q: Can I reduce my coverage?

Q: How do I update my personal details?

It’s very easy and quick to update your details, it’s also very important that you do this whenever something changes, so that your policy remains up-to-date. Don’t forget to include your policy number when you write to us.

Q: In what frequency can I pay my premiums?

Depending on the type of policy you own, you could pay your premiums monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or even annually. For some policies, you can make a one-off payment known as a single premium payment. You  can choose the payment term that suits your situation and budget.

Q: Do I get an acknowledgement of any premiums paid?

Yes. For your records you will receive a deposit receipt as an acknowledgement of any payment made.

Q: How often should I review my policy?

It’s a good idea to review the cover you have on regular basis, at least once a year. If things in your life are changing rapidly, you are getting married, moving home, expanding your business etc, you may need to check more often. We’ve tried to make the process as simple as possible but do just check that you are following the right procedure for your policy as the process and the documentation required can be slightly different. Q: Is there any time limitation to submitting my claim?

To make sure your claim is processed as quickly as possible, we do ask that you, or someone on your behalf, let us know of any claim you’re making within 10 calendar days from the date that the incident occurred.  We’ve tried to make the process as easy as possible so you can write, fax, call or email. Q: Is it possible to consolidate medical costs related to more than one health problem in one claim form?

Yes. That’s perfectly fine if you need to. Just make sure that when you file your claim, you have provided the details required for all the costs and our claims staff will ensure the correct split is achieved whilst processing your form.
